When you put together a deer-breeding program which includes careful monitoring via both annual aerial- and ground-census surveys – along with a strong dedication to culling “undesirables” from the population – your results, unsurprisingly, yield some of the country’s most exceptional native whitetail genetics which respond incredibly well to supplemental feeding.
Historically, the largest bucks in the entire state of Oklahoma have been taken from the Lodge’s hunting grounds. Our sex ratio goals are about 1:2, and overall density is expected to stabilize at about one deer per 20 acres.
